Marine interior photography

Photographing small rooms is a challenge. Shooting in the confined spaces of a sailboat interior is trickier... and attempting to compose an interesting photograph inside a boat bathroom (head), the smallest of the small spaces aboard, becomes an exercise in balance and contortion. I was very excited to have the opportunity recently to photograph a brand new Jeanneau 479 for Marine Servicenter on Lake Union here in Seattle. She is a beautiful vessel and I enjoyed lovely weather the day of the shoot. My final photo of the forward head turned out nice... but man do I wish I had a snapshot of the camera setup and the precarious perch on which I had to stand to get this shot. Can't wait to do it again!
